I hope to be able to use some of these Reverend Fun cartoons in upcoming issues. I'm just waiting for a response to an e-mail I sent requesting permission (I fit 75% of their criteria for free usage).

Check out their website yourself! Their "Artchives" might give you a giggle or two.

All my e-mails in one place!

I set up Mozilla Thunderbird on my laptop two days ago and am still in awe of being able to check all four of my e-mail accounts from one program -- all at the same time! And it's free! I'm just giddy with delight! THANK YOU MOZILLA!

Snowflakes

Real snowflakes!

Did you know that every snowflake is a different design from every other snowflake -- just like every fingerprint is a different design from every other fingerprint in the world? However, snowflakes are all alike in one characteristic: they all have six points.

Well, we're embarking on a new year!

2011 has been quite the full year:

My beloved Grandmama, Margaret Eloise Foster Martin, went to be with the Lord on January 20th.

Also in January, I began working on a project first devised in July 2009: a magazine which launched this September and for which this blog and website was started.

In March, I went on an enchanting week-long tour of Italy with my Aunt and Uncle.

In July, I went to the Rio Grande Valley for the third year in a row on a week-long mission trip with my church. We got to add-on to the house we built last year. It was such a blessing to be able to serve the same family two years in a row – love them!

This fall, I've subbed at our church's preschool 10 times, and took their Christmas portraits. My photography business has picked up; I've had several photo jobs I was not expecting.

October heralded the beginning of an elimination diet (to see if I had a food allergy), during which I found out that I am sucrose intolerant – fun.

On top of all these are my daily blessings and “busy-ings” of family and friends and the unexpected adventures life brings.

I have a feeling that 2012 is going to be just as busy, if not busier – oh dear! Stay tuned for more information on what Dabble Magazine has in store for 2012!

One of my blender meals I had while on the elimination diet. I don't think this one will make it into the recipes section.

It's now Christmas Day here in the good ol' state of Texas!

I tried to get the copyright info on this picture and couldn't find it :(

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "

"For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.”
Luke 2:11,30-32

Merry CHRISTmas everyone!!!

Random Useless Fact:

Monaco, a small country on the east coast of France, just a few miles from Italy, has the most vehicles per capita (SUVs, vans, sedans, commercial vehicles, and other 4 wheeled road vehicles) of any country in the world, at 863 for every 1,000 people.

I narrowly escaped death-by-awful-music at Savers thrift store this afternoon. The "We Three Kings" cabana style just about did me in. The other customers were commenting to each other on the awfulness saying they should just stop the music, so I know I'm not just being picky little me.

I did, however, make it out alive and with a few pieces of clothing -- the sizes of which you are not allowed to know ;)

This picture was taken after washing and before drying, thus the saggy wrinkles.

Both of the shirts need some sort of belt with them unless I want to look like a human tent. I looked at the belts at Savers, but none of them worked. So, I now have plans for making a belt, a project which may appear in an upcoming issue of the magazine :)
